Welcome to Emplifive’s currency localisation features. This policy outlines how our platform handles currency conversions, rate fluctuations, and payment processes to ensure a smooth and transparent experience for our users.
Account and Currency Recognition
1.1 Automatic Currency Detection: Emplifive automatically detects your location based on your IP address and displays prices in your local currency if supported.
1.2 Default Currency: If your IP address is from a location where we do not support the local currency, prices will be displayed in USD.
1.3 Manual Currency Selection: Users have the flexibility to manually select and switch between supported currencies, with prices adjusted accordingly.
1.4 Supported Currencies: Emplifive currently supports the following currencies: JPY, MYR, SGD, IDR, KRW, THB, VND, and USD.
1.5 Subscriptions: Localized currency options are not available for subscriptions, which remain in USD.
RATE FLUCTUATIONS
2.1 Currency Conversion: All prices on Emplifive are converted from USD, our base currency. We use the latest foreign exchange rates provided by our payment partner, Airwallex.
2.2 Regular Updates: Currency rates on Emplifive are updated every 6 hours to reflect the most accurate exchange rates.
2.3 Foreign Exchange Fees: Currencies are subject to a foreign exchange (FX) fee of 0.4% to 1%, depending on the selected currency. This fee is included and reflected in the displayed prices. Non-USD currency prices may vary daily due to exchange rate changes, including conversion fees.
2.4 User Notifications: Users will be notified of rate fluctuations through various platform interactions.
2.5 Platform vs. Checkout Rates: All platform rates are based on their original USD price and, as a result, non-USD currency prices may change daily in accordance with exchange rate fluctuations. This increase may also include conversion fees. When proceeding to the checkout page, the checkout rates might differ from the platform rates due to exchange rate fluctuations, which may include conversion fees. However, as a buyer, you will always have the option to pay in USD by changing your selected displayed currency.
2.6 Recommendation for Platform Usage: To avoid additional FX fees, we recommend selecting, maintaining, and transacting in USD.
Campaign Management
3.1 Offer Management: Users can make offers or negotiate in their local currency, with USD as the base currency for conversion.
3.2 Real-Time Conversion: Value inputs in local currencies are displayed in real-time as USD equivalents.
3.3 Rate Fluctuation Awareness: Users will be informed about potential rate fluctuations during the campaign management process.
Making Payments and Starting Campaign Tasks
4.1 Payment in Local Currency: Users can pay for campaigns in their local currency, with USD as the base currency for conversion.
4.2 Payment Processing: Payments are processed through Airwallex, subject to a 0.4% to 1% FX fee included in the checkout rates.
4.3 Currency Selection: For users in unsupported regions, you can manually select your preferred payment currency. If not supported by Airwallex, transactions will default to USD.
4.4 Locked Rates: Currency rates are locked in at the time of payment and remain fixed from the start of the campaign until payout completion.
4.5 Invoices: Invoices will include both the local currency and USD rates for transparency.
Refund Payment Method and Timeline
4.1 Refunds will be issued through the original payment method, typically within 30 to 45 days.

5.1 Processing Refund: If you request a refund, it will be processed in the same currency used for the original payment, based on the checkout rate at the time of purchase. This ensures that the refund amount remains consistent with what you originally paid, protecting you from potential losses due to currency fluctuations. If your local currency isn’t supported, prices will be displayed in USD by default. You can also manually select another supported currency for transactions.

3. Are there any additional fees for converting currencies?
Yes, a foreign exchange (FX) fee ranging from 0.4% to 1% is applied, depending on the selected currency. This fee is included in the prices displayed on the platform.
4. Can I pay for subscriptions in my local currency?
Currently, subscription prices are only available in USD, and currency localization does not apply to these payments.
5. Can I revert to paying in USD if I don’t want to pay in my local currency?
Yes, you can always choose to pay in USD by changing your selected displayed currency.
6. What happens if I belong to a region not supported by Airwallex during checkout?
If your region isn’t supported, transactions will be settled in USD. You can manually select another supported currency during checkout.
